How magic is a wedding! All over the world, women more than men, go crazy on the day of their marriage. They spend a fortune on the dress, the flowers, the decoration and above all, making sure that the photographer will be able to stop the time and make this moment become eternal.
What is left afterwards is the photo album and the picture on the table of the living room. Beautiful for sure. But now, it is about living that illusion and making it comes true using the power of love every day. Here is when we start to realize that shared meals, first as a couple, and later as a family, are the basics of marriage, understanding and mutual trust.
At meal time we feel hungry. But it is not that simple. This sensation comes accompanied by the need to eat something good and anticipates those special and relaxed moments that we are going to enjoy. Don’t you believe me? Just take a look at the bad mood you spot on the face of those who have no time for lunch and have to replace it with a tasteless sandwich in a gas station. What a disappointment!
Consequently, in my opinion, young couples should meet and eat together or at least have dinner together this healthy tradition should never lost because of a rush or other practical reasons. It helps more than what we think to keep love alive and to get to know the other person deeply.
When there is not enough time (often a reality considering our hectic lives) it is better to cook something practical. There are many recipes which can be ready in just 5 minutes. Of course, ideally, it would be better if it takes a bit longer to eat them and afterwards take a nice walk, hand in hand. Or who knows! Even a good siesta.
Hurray for love!
